Trifluoromethanesulfonamide is an organic intermediate that can be prepared by the reaction of trifluoromethanesulfonyl chloride and ammonia. Trifluoromethanesulfonyl can be used to prepare LiTFSI. LiTFSI is an excellent organic electrolyte additive for lithium batteries.
Compared with LiClO4 and LiPF6, LiTFSI as an electrolyte additive has:
