Usage

Blueprinting and Photographic Printing: It is one of the core photosensitive materials in the classic cyanotype process of photolithography. Used for reproducing engineering drawings and for vintage art photography. It is also used as a thinning agent and color bleaching agent in film processing.

Steel Surface Chemical Heat Treatment and Corrosion Protection: In the metallurgical industry, it is used as a carburizing and nitriding agent on steel surfaces to improve surface hardness and wear resistance; it is also a highly effective colorimetric reagent for preparing metal cleaning and passivation solutions and for determining localized microporous corrosion on steel surfaces (blue spot test).

Analytical Chemistry and Biochemical Detection: In analytical chemistry, it is used as a highly sensitive reagent for determining ferrous ions; the reaction immediately produces a characteristic Prussian blue precipitate. In biosensors, it is widely used as an electron transport mediator.

Dyes and Electroplating: Used in the formulation of oxidants in the high-grade dyeing and printing industry, complexing agents in the electroplating industry, and in the production of special high-purity pigments.
