P-Diethylbenzene(PDEB) Usage
Dedicated Desorbent for Para-Xylene (PX) Units (Core Petrochemical Domain): Serves as the premier high-selectivity desorbent/eluent for Para-Xylene (PX) adsorptive separation complexes (e.g., UOP Parex technology) within modern petrochemical refineries.
Mechanism: During the molecular sieve separation of C8 aromatics, PDEB’s boiling point and adsorption affinity closely complement PX, effectively stripping adsorbed PX out of zeolite channels while enabling easy downstream fractional distillation recovery.
Dehydrogenation Precursor for p-Divinylbenzene (p-DVB): Catalytically dehydrogenated to synthesize high-purity p-Divinylbenzene (p-DVB), an essential crosslinking monomer used in producing high-capacity ion exchange resins, crosslinked polystyrenes, and HPLC stationary phases.
Specialty Solvent & Synthesis Intermediate: Applied as a high-boiling aromatic reaction solvent, industrial degreasing component, and organic building block for specialty polymers, fine fragrances, and agrochemical active ingredients.

P-Diethylbenzene(PDEB) Storage
Must be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated dedicated hazardous chemicals warehouse. Keep strictly away from open flames, ignition vectors, and direct sunlight; suggested storage temperatures should not exceed 30°C. Keep containers hermetically sealed, nitrogen-blanketed, and protected from humidity.
