Sodium Gluconate Usage
Concrete admixture – A highly effective retarder that slows cement hydration and increases concrete’s setting time. It’s also a water reducer, increasing concrete’s fluidity, reducing water consumption, and improving its strength and durability.
Industrial cleaning agent – It has excellent chelating properties, effectively chelating metal ions such as calcium, magnesium, and iron in water to prevent scale and rust. It is used for metal surface treatment, glass bottle cleaning, and industrial equipment pipe cleaning.
Food industry – It is used as a food additive, acting as a chelating agent and stabilizer. It chelates metal ions in food, preventing them from catalyzing oxidation reactions, stabilizing food color and flavor, and extending shelf life.
Electroplating and dyeing – In the electroplating industry, it acts as a chelating agent, helping stabilize the plating solution and improving the uniformity and gloss of the coating. In the dyeing and printing industry, it prevents the effects of hard water ions on dyes.
Pharmaceuticals – In medicine, it is used as a sodium supplement or pH regulator.
