Cesium chloride Usage
Ultracentrifugation of Biomolecules: In molecular biology and biochemistry, ultrapure cesium chloride is the gold standard raw material for preparing density gradient centrifuge solutions. Through ultracentrifugation, it spontaneously forms a precise, continuous density gradient in the tube, used for the efficient separation and purification of plasmid DNA, chromosomal DNA, RNA viruses, proteins, and organelles.
Standard in Analytical Chemistry and Physics: In analytical chemistry, it is used as a highly effective reagent for spot analysis and microscopic determination of silicon and non-ferrous metal ions; in spectroscopic analysis, it acts as an ionization inhibitor. Furthermore, it is a classic teaching material for crystal structures (CsCl type simple cubic lattice).
Pharmaceutical and Nuclear Medicine Intermediates: Clinically used in the preparation of adjuvants for the treatment of certain heart and hematopoietic system diseases; its radioactive isotopes are widely used in radiotherapy and industrial flaw detection.
Specialty industrial applications: Used in the manufacture of conductive glass, radio vacuum tubes, high scintillation counters, and as a starting material for the synthesis of other metallic cesium and high-purity cesium salts.

Cesium chloride Storage
Highly hygroscopic; prone to rapid deliquescence which alters purity and ruins experimental efficacy. Must be stored in a cool, dry, and exceptionally well-ventilated dedicated chemical reagent warehouse. Keep containers hermetically sealed and completely protected from ambient humidity.
