Benzoyl peroxide Application
Polymer Initiators and Crosslinking Agents: Industrially, it is mainly used as a highly efficient initiator for free radical polymerization, an initiator for products such as acrylic adhesives, a crosslinking agent for rubber, and a curing agent for unsaturated resins.
Pharmaceuticals (Dermatological Acne Treatment): Pharmaceutical-grade BPO is a well-known topical anti-acne (pimple) medication ingredient in clinical practice. It has strong oxidizing properties; after entering the pores, it releases free oxygen, thus effectively killing Propionibacterium acnes, and also has exfoliating and comedone-dissolving effects.
Industrial Bleaching Agents: Used as a bleaching agent and flour whitening agent, it was once widely used for bleaching flour, oils, waxes, and fibers.
