IPBC (Iodopropynyl butylcarbamate) Usage
Highly Potent Broad-Spectrum Antifungal Preservative: It is a highly effective antifungal agent (anti-mold agent) widely used in modern cosmetics and personal care products. It is widely used in high-end shampoos, conditioners, sunscreens, wet wipes, and moisturizers.
Industrial Coatings & Wood Protection: Treated as an aggressive dry-film fungicide. It is extensively formulated into architectural latex paints and outdoor wood stains to prevent coating defacement, fungal decay, or bio-slippage in humid climates; also heavily consumed in timber preservation and papermaking slime control.
Metalworking Fluids Biocide: Integrated into metal cutting oils and coolants to halt fungal growth, helping to eliminate foul system odors, bio-slime accumulation, and emulsion fluid breakdown.
