Papain Usage
In the field of food:
The enzymatic reaction of papain can hydrolyze the macromolecular protein in food into small molecular peptides or amino acids that are easy to absorb. It is widely used in: chicken, pig, cattle, seafood, chemical book blood products, soybeans, peanuts and other animal and plant protein hydrolysis, meat tenderizer, wine clarifier, biscuit loosening agent, noodle stabilizer, health food, soy sauce brewing and wine fermentation agent, etc.
In the field of biochemical:
Papain can be used in biochemical research. It is an important cysteine protease used in peptide synthesis. It is used to produce Fab fragments of antibodies; because it rarely damages certain tissues, it is also used for cell lysis.
Pharmaceutical industry:
Papain can activate plasminogen into plasmin. It only acts on necrotic tissue, dissolving fibrin, blood clots and necrotic substances in the lesion. It cleans the wound surface, promotes the growth of new granulation tissue, promotes pus and fluid drainage, and accelerates wound healing.
Used in medicine, food industry and cosmetic additives.
