Textile Dyeing & Printing:
- Vat Dye Reduction : Essential reducing agent for dissolving and applying vat dyes and sulfur dyes on cotton, wool, and silk fibers.
- Reductive Bleaching & Stripping : Used for stripping unwanted colors from dyed fabrics and reductive cleaning of synthetic fibers.
Paper Pulp Bleaching:
- Highly effective for reductive bleaching of mechanical pulp and recycled fiber pulp without degrading cellulose strength.
Water Treatment & Chemical Synthesis:
- Heavy Metal Reduction: Used in industrial wastewater treatment to reduce toxic hexavalent chromium to trivalent chromium for precipitation.
- Oxygen Scavenger: Serves as a fast-acting oxygen scavenger in water treatment and chemical manufacturing processes.
